Interactive was established in 1992 predominantly to service the Video Industry
- a business we still lead in New Zealand, representing the following companies:
Nintendo, Electronic Arts, Eidos, Codemasters, Take 2 Interactive and Atari - just to name a few.
In 1996 Gamewizz Interactive acquired the Mad Catz agency which saw the
company enter the mainstream retail market. The Mad Catz brand is now recognized
as the leading brand of peripherals in the New Zealand market. In addition
to Mad Catz we currently distribute Datel and Tru Blu accessories.
2000 saw us branch into the PC software market and we currently represent
Big Byte, Nova Developement and Focus software.
3 Years down the path, we acquired distribution for the A/V Channel, a movie distributor that acts as an independent one stop home entertainment distributor, physically distributing product from its affiliated companies Madman Entertainment and Umbrella Entertainment.
Gamewizz Interactive has a nationwide distribution channel which services
over 1200 store fronts in both the rental and retail sectors.
Gamewizz Interactive is 100% NZ owned and operated.
